I was inspired by the new group gift skin at Al Vulo and decided to try my hand at the Geekgasm Hunt. The items aren't Gorean but they are themed and could inspire a roleplay character. Treasure Hunt at Bina until January 1st.

Bina is celebrating their third year in SL and the opening of their new sim with a treasure hunt. The hunt is on until January 1st and includes 12 prizes ranging from a medicine bag necklace, a cartographers desk set, a ladies chair with sewing basket, slave livery and this free woman’s pauper outfit. The prizes are hidden all over Bina's new sim so you'll have to explore. There are also some lucky presents under the tree and lucky chairs in some of the buildings.

GMC Hunt Oct 24th to Nov 2nd

The Gorean Merchant Caste (GMC) Treasure Hunt has started with 50 participating locations. The starting point is here (look down on the ground for a clue to your first item). You are looking for collars, each contains a treasure and the landmark for the next location. Many vendors are displaying this sign which you can click to get a hint.

As this blog tends to focus heavily on clothing I thought I’d feature some of the fantastic roleplaying accessories this hunt had to offer.

Port Haifa Lucky Chairs

Port Haifa Freebie Area has three Lucky Chairs upstairs loaded with a variety of prizes including a complete Gorean kitchen, a Smithy with Forge, and this:

If you don't want to wait for your letter, each of these complete room kits average $100L.

Hunter's Cove

Hunter's Cove (Hunter IV) is a group of several different vendors and stores, many of which have a prize camping system.

Flames of Passion has two prize campers where you can sit for a period of time and earn items such as a bath camisk, couples pose balls, a water pitcher to be worn on the head and even a Tuchuk Tospit Wager game. I camped for 10 minutes to get this camisk.

Another prize camper that contains a Warrior’s outfit, a FW Gown, and several different slave chores is repeated at several different locations around the Sim. I camped for 15 minutes to get this wool carding chore.

While there, the lucky chair came up with G. This weeks prize is a Master's chair complete with a two person pose, although you have to use your imagination for the second pose.

The skin worn in all these is another from Free Speerit, available on the "pay what you want" wall so the price is up to you. The skin has tears and may not for every day use but a good novelty item.

Tancred's Landing Trading Post

Tancred's Landing Trading Post has a few items available for free as a away items to the give back to the Gorean community to increase merchant roleplay.

There are also several barrels of trade goods such as fish and nuts available for free. These goods have a scripted shelf life. At the end of the set period the object will de-rez, requiring ongoing roleplay to acquire more. Also available is the shelf life script itself to use in your own trade goods. Port Haifa Gorean Market

Port Haifa Gorean Market has a freebie of the week available just as you walk off the boat. If you continue through the market you find the warehouse where the retired freebies, including furniture and slave chores, are on sale for 10L.

If you teleport upstairs at the warehouse there are three lucky chairs where you can win complete room set ups, including a complete Gorean Kitchen.
